Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities for children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and structured activities
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a respectful and inclusive atmosphere
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the individual needs of students, including those with special education requirements
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nannying, childhood development, toddler care, early childhood education, babysitting, preschool, caregiving, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and educational activities that promote learning and development
- Demonstrated classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
