Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for a cybersecurity analyst I at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
Reporting to the cybersecurity manager, our cybersecurity analyst I role will be responsible for monitoring and helping to administer the various Cybersecurity solutions that protect the company’s on-premises and cloud digital assets.
The role will also be responsible for continuously helping to improve the organization’s Cybersecurity posture.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve cybersecurity related support tickets that have been escalated from helpdesk and other IT groups.
Work with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to resolve security alerts and investigations.
Participate in On-Call rotation schedule.
Work with appropriate teams and MSP to ensure that servers and workstations throughout the organization are kept up to date with security patches.
Perform cybersecurity related tasks for account onboarding/offboarding.
Participate in cybersecurity related projects as assigned.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulations.
Perform monthly vulnerability scans.
Assist in the development and implementation of regular cybersecurity training and regular phishing test campaigns.
Assist with the creation and regular publishing of cybersecurity reports for senior management.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity desired but not required.
Minimum 1-2 years enterprise level experience in an Information Technology Support role (e.
g.
, Helpdesk, Desktop support, Server support, etc.
)
Possession of at least one of the following certifications is highly desired but not required:
CompTIA Security+
(ISC)2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
(ISC)2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
ISACA Cybersecurity Fundamentals
GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF)
Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
A bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity will be accepted in lieu of any of the certifications above.
Additional Certifications that would be a plus:
CCNA + Security
MCSE: Core Infrastructure
MCSA: Cloud Platform
MCSA: Office 365
MCSA: Windows Server 2012 (or later server version)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Office 365 Administrator
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Have knowledge of information security principles and best practices
Be familiar with security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, or CIS.
Have very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Be able to work independently and as part of a highly effective team.
This role may occasionally travel to remote job sites or office locations on an as-needed basis.
