Summary As a Principal Systems Architect at Ferry International, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business requirements and technological solutions.
You will lead systems' design, development, and deployment, primarily focusing on Salesforce and related technologies.
Your role will encompass technical architecture, integration, and the mentoring of administrators and developers.
In addition, you will be instrumental in facilitating organizational change and promoting best practices.
You will lead our enterprise-level system design and architecture initiatives, including involvement in full transformational change projects and post-implementation management.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of our organization's information systems, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives and deliver robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

System Design and Development: As a Principal Architect, you will be equally comfortable designing solutions as you develop them.
Lead the design and development of enterprise information systems, including ERP, CRM, and Marketing Automation, to meet business requirements and industry best practices.
Transformational Change: Take a central role in transformational change projects involving implementing (new) or overhauling systems.
Collaborate closely with executive leadership to define and align the transformation roadmap with the organization's strategic vision.
Technical Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of enterprise technologies, databases, integration frameworks, and cloud platforms to drive architectural decisions during the transformational change process.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to align system architecture with organizational goals, scalability requirements, and long-term sustainability, ensuring the technology stack supports the transformation vision.
Project Management: Oversee the architectural aspects of transformation projects, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and progress tracking.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Leadership: Mentor and guide a team throughout the transformational change process, providing technical leadership and setting architectural standards.
Requirements Gathering: Bring the expertise to define and document technical requirements and be ready to execute them if needed.
Ensure that these requirements are effectively transformed into functional system components.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with system architecture, data security, and compliance with industry regulations during and after transformation.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, project managers, and Engineering professionals, to ensure architectural alignment with project objectives and ongoing system management.
Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce architectural standards and best practices to maintain the integrity and quality of information systems throughout the transformation and CI/CD processes.
Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential for improving system efficiency, functionality, and long-term sustainability.
Effective Communication: Proficiently convey intricate technical concepts and architectural strategies to audiences at all levels (C-Level to Entry Level), ensuring that architectural decisions align seamlessly with organizational objectives.
Training: Develop and deliver training programs or materials to enhance teams' technical skills within the organization, promoting best practices in system architecture and design.
Supervisory Responsibilities / Level of Organizational Restraint The supervisory/managerial responsibilities are partial or part-time and/or restricted to assigning work and supervising the efforts of a small subordinate group of employees.
Much of the time is spent performing work of the type supervised.
May also be a Project Manager without direct reports who are responsible for managing the work of a group of people.
Education and/or Experience 8-10 years of similar or related experience; College degree in a technical discipline, achievement of formal certifications recognized as an industry equivalent to a bachelor's degree, or in-depth industry and job-specific technical skills acquired through a combination of formal instruction and OJT.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an Enterprise Information Systems Architect with a track record of successful system implementations, transformational change, and post-implementation management.
In-depth knowledge of enterprise technologies, databases, and cloud computing.
Proven project management experience.
Experience with a wide range of CRM’s, ERP’s, and Marketing Automation platforms are a plus Relevant certifications (e.
g.
, TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Salesforce Certified Technical Architect is a plus Organizational Authority Minimal Authority: This role oversees the budget for one department, function, or project.
The budget control is usually less than 5% of the total budget.
It also includes non-management positions that generate revenue, manage major projects, or can prevent significant losses.
Independent Judgment / Mental Aptitude Role influences procedures, standards, and policies within the functional unit.
Significant discretion is available, requiring interpretation of policies.
The role makes daily operational decisions but requires collaboration on strategic direction.
Generally, upper/middle management may include non-management roles with significant decision-making authority that impacts the functional unit.
Work deals with a variety of issues overlapping functional/organizational boundaries.
Proactive thinking and significant creativity, innovation, and evaluation are major components.
Problems are frequently solved without previous precedents to draw on.
Requires mastery of techniques, practices, and theories gained through extensive experience and/or specialized study.
Other Skills and Abilities Required: Hands-on experience in system implementation and architectural design.

Expertise in system integrations using various APIs and middleware.
Proven track record in designing complex system architectures.
A proactive approach to CRM enhancements and best practices.
Familiarity with data management and modeling.
Proficiency in presenting solutions to stakeholders.
Previous professional services or consulting experience Experience with ETL Tools, Data Modeling, and Data Mapping.
Desirable: Profound knowledge of Salesforce technical platforms.
High Experience Salesforce certifications e.
g.
Salesforce Certified System Architect, Integration Architect, Certified Technical Architect) Competency in a multitude of development languages Demonstrated experience integrating CRM Platforms with other systems.
Experience with marketing automation applications such as HubSpot is a plus.
Experience with ERP applications such as Netsuite is a plus Language and Communication Skills Writing, understanding, and assessing technical documentation.
Presenting ideas to different audiences, both technical and non-technical, including decision-makers.
Computer Skills Proficient in administration tasks, such as creating user profiles, roles, and page layouts.
Experience in designing custom fields, validation rules, and workflows for automation.
Familiarity with web technologies like HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and SOAP.
Competence in platform configurations across several programs Proficient with relational databases.
Work Environment: Hybrid work environment: Scheduled in-office M-W and WFH Thursday and Friday.
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
The office work environment can be boisterous in certain areas.
Attire is business casual.
Travel: Minimal (less than 5%) to none.
Traveling overnight – by car or air – may be required to support various events, sometimes working more than eight (8) hours/day.
