Come join us on our journey to serve our customers and be the leader in our industry! We are currently looking for an IT Senior Business Analyst to join our team! The IT Senior Business Analyst is an end-to-end solution provider for Fay Information Technology customers, both internal and external.
This position will employ a wide range of skills while executing the key objectives of the position, which include: creating as-is business process flows, leading and contributing to business process re-engineering sessions, gathering and creating business requirements, collaborating with technical resources to translate business requirements to technical deliverables, managing and tracking project execution and supervising user acceptance testing, project documentation, and policy and procedure updates.
Depending on technical abilities, senior business analysts may also perform application development and business intelligence/data extract and reporting tasks associated with their projects or for another project team.
What you will do for Fay: Partner directly with businesses to understand and assist them in defining and articulating their information and process needs and challenges.
Translate and refine needs into quality requirements artifacts for a project/task, which include: as-is/to-be process flows, business case, features lists, use cases, and templates.
Conduct walk-throughs to transfer knowledge and obtain requirements artifacts sign-off.
Solicit and analyze requirements using interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
Conduct data and process analysis (both ongoing and ad hoc).
Lead and/or contribute to collaborative re-engineering sessions, establish a vision, and analyze tradeoffs while representing the business needs within IT.
Actively engage with stakeholders throughout all phases of a project, keeping them informed and involved in requirements decisions.
Manage product backlogs in Jira (or similar), including building out the user stories and attending agile scrum meetings.
Supervise user acceptance testing as needed.
Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
Assist with overall BA efficiency through continuous learning and process improvement.
What you will bring to Fay: Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or Finance, or related experience; High school diploma/GED required 7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, ideally for the mortgage industry Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with various teams and employee levels Strong consultative mindset with a background in information technology solutions Ability to grasp and evaluate business processes and data to generate core insights Ability to present insights and recommendations to management and others Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams Experience learning and translating business process needs requirements elicitation, backlog management, creating process flows, features list, use cases, and user stories.
