SUMMARY:
In this role the Avionics Integrator will design aftermarket avionics systems integrations.
The Avionics Integrator will be an integral part of a team, working closely with other design disciplines, customers, subcontractors, and Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) to ensure design requirements are fully defined and airworthiness compliance can be achieved.
The Avionics Integrator will participate in FAA / Foreign CAA STC certification, and aircraft return to service.
Including the Avionics Integrator will complete technical reviews of other design disciplines documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Systems Wiring Diagrams
Wire Routing Drawings
Electrical Load Analysis/ Electrical Load Change Report
System Functional Check Test Plans/Reports
EMC/EMI Test Plans and Reports
Assist with System Safety Assessment/ Functional Hazard Assessment
Assist with FAA/CAA Airworthiness Documents: ICAs, Aircraft Flight Manual Supplements
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
3 years of aircraft systems integration and/or avionics installation experience, or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with one year of directly related experience
Familiarity with FAA 14 CFR Part 21 Aircraft Certification Requirements.
Experience with 14 CFR Part 23, 25, 27, or 29 aircraft certification
Basic skills using a Computer Aided Design solutions such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, SOLIDWORKS.
Proficiency is expected within 3 months of hire.
