Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer/Designer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as science & technology, education, multi-family, Hospitality and commercial projects.
General Duties:
Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for a variety of projects.
Perform Load/Energy calculations with software for sizing mechanical systems.
Work with a senior engineer to conduct building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems.
Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings.
Write/edit project specifications.
Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies.
Code compliance research.
Coordinate work with other disciplines.
Provide construction administration services.
Skills:
Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
Excellent work ethic and attitude.
Good communication and time management skills.
Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
Qualifications:
You have a minimum of 3-5 years of design experience.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, desired but not required.
LEED certification/experience is a plus, PE/EIT is preferred, but not required.
