TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Senior SQL Developer Database Administrator to join our team in Plano, Texas.
Job Summary: The Sr.
SQL Database Developer is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our databases and the development of our applications.
This includes working closely with system managers and developers to add system functionality, tables, and data; optimizing systems for availability and performance; and contributing to system upgrades.
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and experience in managing complex database systems, as well as a strong background in software development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Design, develop, and manage the company's database systems.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
Collaborate with developers to improve applications and establish best practices for database interactions.
Analyze system requirements and identify potential database design and performance improvements.
Provide guidance and support to junior developers and DBAs.
Maintain documentation of designs, coding standards, and operational procedures.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Required Skills & Experience:
5-8 years of experience as Senior Developer/DBA
Experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Familiarity with data modeling tools and database design.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Experience working in Data Management projects.
Ability to apply mastery knowledge in one of the relational databases (DB2, MSSQL, Teradata)
Experience working with data manipulation, preparation, cleansing.
Experience working with ETL Tools (Informatica/DS/SSIS) for data Integration.
Experience designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms
Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment
Knowledge: A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
