Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Information Technology Experiences (ITx) organization is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Software Engineer within the Digital Customer Experience department.
The primary responsibility of this role is to write and deliver high-quality software as a member of the software engineering group to help create new software products or enhancements for our customers.
Reporting to the Dealer Experience Platform Manager, the person in this role will support the Digital Customer Experience department's objective to become the leader in Digital Retailing for the automotive industry and transforming Toyota into a digital mobility company What you’ll be doing Hands-on coding (UI or Server side) to develop direct feature code and subtasks that are expected, including writing unit testing scripts Code review and documentation tasks.
All software engineers are expected to review code from others and write documentation or proposals to improve processes.
Collaboration with other team members.
All software engineers are expected to spend a good amount of their time in collaborative coding sessions or helping other team members work through problems.
Attending team meetings/activities.
All software engineers are expected to attend regular meetings as required by their product team What you bring Strong hands-on coding experience using high-level programming languages like Java, Python, Typescript, C#, etc.
Strong curriculum on computer programming and data structures Good understanding of services and databases Awareness of cloud services like AWS, GCP or Azure Identify and resolve software issues promptly, demonstrating a keen problem-solving mindset.
Collaborate with senior developers to design, code, test, and debug software applications.
Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
Clear communication along with active participation in team meetings is expected.
