We are looking for a self-motivated Tax Manager to join our team! The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing Lovelace Payne LLC’s tax return process at both the federal and state levels.
Goals for this position include ensuring accurate and timely completion of tax returns while cultivating a professional relationship with clients.
*Essential Functions*
* Working directly with clients to build and maintain client relationships, prepare business, non-business, and individual tax returns, and assist with tax return reviews
* Oversee multiple tax engagements to maximize profitability and efficiency
* Assist with tax return preparation, processing, and other accounting/consulting projects
* Mentor, educate, and train Senior and Staff level groups
* Familiarize with and adhere to relevant ethical requirements of the AICPA contained in the Code of Professional Conduct, the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, and the Texas Society of CPA’s in discharging their professional responsibilities
*Qualifications*
* Approximately 3 years of relevant income tax experience
* Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail
* Working knowledge of GAAP principles, accounting transactions, schedules, and financial reports
* Partnership Taxation experience required
* CCH Axcess software experience is a plus
*Education*
* Bachelor’s degree
* An active CPA License preferred
