Duties: - Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and portion sizes - Ensure that all food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety guidelines - Assist with menu planning and recipe development - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area - Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in designated areas - Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow - Follow proper food handling procedures at all times - Assist with inventory management and stock rotation - Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: - Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred - Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays - Basic math skills for recipe measurements and portion control Skills: - Food safety: Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Supervising: Ability to oversee kitchen operations, delegate tasks, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Shift management: Experience managing schedules, coordinating breaks, and ensuring smooth transitions between shifts.
- Food production: Proficiency in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using different cooking techniques.
- Food service management: Understanding of customer service principles and ability to provide excellent service to guests.
- Restaurant: Familiarity with restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house procedures.
