The N OC Project Manager delivers on our Purpose in their work supporting projects in the Network Operations Control (NOC).
This role works with Teams and Leaders in the NOC and throughout the Company to organize, plan, and execute medium to large optimization projects to deliver new products for the NOC.
The NOC Project Manager is a detail-oriented thinker who looks forward to being part of meaningful and impactful initiatives at Southwest .

Responsibilities Maintain, advance, and support NOC and corporate PMO project management standards, practices, and governance Provide training and support to Project subject matter expert on project management standards and practices Ensure all potential projects undergo NOC Leadership review, approval, and prioritization Define complex project plans for NOC projects and programs including scope, budget, and schedules and execute tasks defined in the project to achieve project goals Proactively monitor risks, issues, and scope, ensuring appropriate level or priority, visibility, and escalation Ensure project or program data is correct and up to date in central project repository Validate and may help develop business cases with NOC Leadership and/or Project Leads Continuously assess project needs and resources to complete projects on time and within budget Proactively communicate with Stakeholders, sponsors, and Project Teams to maintain project alignment Facilitate appropriate coordination and communication of projects/programs and deliverables across Operational departments May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of project management methods, processes, tools, and best practices Knowledge of business plan development, maintenance, and opportunity assessment Skilled in developing and delivering presentations to large audiences including Senior Leadership Skilled in demonstrating and maintaining a high regard for confidential and sensitive information Skilled in written and verbal communication including the ability to communicate complex issues in a structured and concise manner Skilled in assessing project needs and resources to complete projects on time and within budget Ability to establish cross functional alliances inside and outside the NOC department and with vendors Ability to motivate project teams to drive projects to completion Ability to facilitate meetings and work sessions with other departments 119,600Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Experience Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in: Managing all phases of medium scale projects Developing and executing business plans and working directly with Department Leaders Change management processes Licensing/Certification Required: MS Project Physical Abilities Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job Other Qualifications Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines Must be a U.

citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines Ability to work extended hours and travel based on operational needs Pay & Benefits: Competitive market salary from $107,650 per year to $119,600 per year* depending on qualifications and experience.
