Job Summary Join UT Southwestern as a Manager, Clinics – Hematology Oncology/Infusion at Simmons Cancer Center in Richardson.
As a Manager, UT Southwestern, you will have the opportunity to join a team of the top cancer specialists in the country.
This person will provide operational leadership support for both SCC Richardson Infusion and SCC Clinic.
This will allow us to have clinic managers across the Cancer Center clinics providing consistency of operational leadership support.
Organizes and leads operational process in these clinics to maintain high level of customer service.
Monitors access to service, utilization of resources, patient wait times, optimization of patient scheduling and additional metrics as needed to ensure differentiated patient experience.
Assures adherence to all policies and procedures, code of ethics, National Patient Safety Goals, HIPAA, OSHA, TJC, QOPI and nationally recognized standards of nursing practice.
Monitors and manages recruiting, and retention of employees based on growing needs of the department.
Participates in departmental capital and operational budget process.

S News & World Report’s! Job Duties Demonstrate continuous performance improvement in targeted areas of responsibility in alignment with the overall annual Hospital performance improvement targets.
Meets or exceeds financial goals and objectives of the department.
Oversees and manages all Simmons Cancer Center infusion services personnel; oversees patient-directed transfusion care services in all SCC clinic, including main UTSW campus and all satellite clinics.
Responsible for budget and operational input to Director, Oncology Ambulatory services; accountable for operational resources and costs of infusion services.
Manages Process Improvement and oversees quality and regulatory compliance.
Participates in routine and special care conferences.
Duties performed may include one or more of the following core functions: a) Directly interacting with or caring for patients; b) Directly interacting with or caring for human-subjects research participants; c) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting patient records (including patient financial records); or d) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting human-subjects research records.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Minimum of five (5) years current experience as a registered nurse, Two (2) years recent progressive nursing leadership experience required.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
BSN required, MSN preferred.
