Summary
The Sr Manager – Event Project Management is responsible for the Event and Show-Site Project Management teams within Freeman AV.
Work closely with leadership of Freeman AV Sales and Operations divisions to ensure alignment to strategic plans as pertaining event services/execution.
Support and promote cross-departmental and cross-divisional collaboration on production and process.
Provide guidance to ensure goals on profit and customer service/satisfaction are tracked and achieved.
Lead team on integrating and innovating project management across sales and operations systems to ensure seamless completion of events from proposal through on-site execution.
This position will support our Audio Visual & Event Technology team and is eligible to work a remote schedule.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Define, implement, and revise operational policies and guidelines for event and show site operations
Liaise with department heads to develop operational procedures and ensure compliance
Actively participate in hiring, firing, coaching, and reviewing of members of event and show site operations
Review and analyze production needs to ensure adequate resources are available to meet demand
Conducts meets with department heads to review production schedules, implement programs, and coordinate inter-department actives
Continuously monitor business mix to determine, in close concert with sales and ops leadership, the appropriate resources to apply to show production.
Work to ensure smooth transition of workflow between Event PMs and Regional Business Operational Staff
Ensure staff in Event Project Management and Show-Site Project Management are coached and trained in job skills, leadership, safety, and Freeman principles
Provide thought leadership and innovation in operational excellence by leveraging unique position bridging sales and operations
Promote motivation, communication, teamwork and positive attitude between all personnel and customers
Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (B.
A.
) from a four-year college or university preferred or comparable experience
Minimum of 5 years industry experience
Proven leadership experience
Experience with sales or sales support
Experience with financial/budget reporting including financial statements
Microsoft word, excel, and powerpoint experience required
