Job Description:
Frontier Communications is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to join our dedicated cybersecurity team.
The BISO will play a critical role in ensuring the security of our business operations, information assets, and technology infrastructure.
This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive effective information security practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's information security strategy, policies, and programs aligned with business goals
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage information security risks, working closely with business units to develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Incident Response: Lead the incident response team in effectively managing and mitigating cybersecurity incidents, ensuring prompt response and resolution
Security Awareness: Develop and implement security awareness and training programs to educate employees about security policies, procedures, and best practices
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units, to integrate security into business processes and projects
Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage third-party vendors' security posture to ensure they meet Frontier's security requirements
Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations (such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
), and internal policies through regular audits and assessments
Security Architecture: Participate in the design and review of security architectures, providing recommendations for secure system implementations
Security Monitoring: Oversee the implementation and management of security monitoring tools to detect and respond to security threats in real-time
Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the organization's security posture, incidents, trends, and emerging threats
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; master's degree preferred
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are highly desirable
Proven experience (8+ years) in information security, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.
)
Demonstrated experience in risk management, incident response, and security governance
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing security teams
Analytical mindset with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
