The Art Guys is a premier art services company in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.
Due to our growth, we are adding a Logistics Director to our organization.
Work history in art handline and installation is mandatory.
As the Director, you will:
Oversee the Logistics Department
Communicate & align with other departments
Create business strategies aligned to company goals & objectives
Provide managers & team the resources they need
Manage employee lifecycle from onboarding, promotions, and offboarding
Oversee department's and storage facility’s overall performance
Understand department opportunities and provide solutions
Conduct performance reviews
Daily Operations
Lead a team of art handlers, leads, and managers
Ensure operational and personnel policies are observed while conducting tasks
Engage art owners and all stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner
Comply with and enforce adherence to safety protocol
Handle artwork so it is never placed at risk and always arrives to each location undamaged
Identify crew size for any activity and confirms with Art Coordinator on dates and times
Within 24 hours of pickup, place items requiring deodorizing in hydroxyl room
Professionally install artwork in a variety of locations
Responsible for warehouse area and all remote storage sites.
Maintain safe, clean and organized storage spaces
Order supplies and manages inventory as needed to enable a status of readiness for art handling
Ensure all equipment and vehicles are in proper working condition
Operate all necessary equipment in a safe manner, e.
g.
, lift, dollies, van, box truck, etc.
On Site Responsibilities
Provide friendly, quality professional service to clients and customers
Identify if crating is required and coordinate to have this done.
Enter locations (some affected by water and fire) to pick up or deliver artwork
Identify wet artwork that requires immediate mitigation.
Alert management to ensure these items are addressed ASAP.
On site management of staff to convey a safe, caring and quality approach to art handling
Ensure negative verbal comments and disruptive actions by staff are immediately addressed.
This type of behavior reflects poorly on us, our contractors and carriers.
Promptly advise management of any incidents.
Complete required paperwork such as Certificates of Satisfaction, Inventory lists, iPad centric reports and other critical paperwork with a high attention to detail
Create an excellent customer service experience
Key Requirements
Must be willing and capable to work a flexible schedule.
Most work will be from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday but nights, weekends and overnight stay may be needed
Knowledge of proper and safe fine art installation, packing and transportation techniques
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Required to possess a valid driver license and a clean driving record at the time and duration of employment.
Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs.
Excellent Customer Service skills, providing "white glove" service to our clients.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitude
Must pass pre-employment drug test and background screening

Pay Range
The pay scale ranges from $22 to $26 an hour, depending on relevant experience.
