Insurance Supervisor

*Job description* The Insurance Supervisor is responsible for building, growing, and managing the Insurance department.
This role will be responsible for handling the negotiation and settlement of total loss insurance claims, partial loss claims and GAP claims.
The Insurance Supervisor evaluates individual and group performance, identifies operational deficiencies, and implements plans to improve operational effectiveness.
This is a hybrid remote role.

*What You're Doing* * Lead, motivate, and train Insurance specialists in the achievement of insurance objectives.
* Ability to leverage all systems and resources in order to maximize each payout and increase the overall average settlement.
* Communicate with insurance companies to negotiate and settle total loss insurance claims to ensure Strike receives maximum settlement amount.
* Assess values of vehicles with the information available to determine fairness of insurance settlements and ability to escalate when appropriate.
* Initiate GAP claims upon receipt of total loss settlement.
* Communicate with Title Department to ensure timely release of lien on total loss settlement.
* Confer with insurance companies and repair facilities to ensure repairs are properly completed on partial loss claims.
* Handle inbound calls and emails for new claim notifications * Responsible for filing insurance claims on behalf of Strike * Responsible for gathering and analyzing all documentation including affidavits of loss, police reports, insurance loss estimates, etc.
related to vehicles in our loan servicing portfolio.
* Providing a high level of customer service when speaking to the customer, insurance companies, police dept, etc.
related to vehicle inquiries and follow up.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*What We're Looking For* * 5+ years of insurance claims filing and negotiation in the auto finance industry.
Emphasis on overturning denied claims, working with 3rd party insurance companies to optimize payouts and the ability to reach out to the appropriate state or federal insurance regulators in the event a claim is unfairly denied or delayed.
* 1-2 of leadership experience preferred.
* Familiarity with insurance auctions and process, including Copart and IAA.
* High school diploma is required.
* Exercise good judgment with demonstrated problem solving and strong decision-making skills.
* Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner.
* Consistent attention to detail and organizational skills demonstrated by professional follow-through.
