The Assistant Director will play an integral role in the success of our center by serving as a positive role model as well as creating meaningful relationships and being a supportive resource for our students, families and their team.
Requirements:
At least three years of experience in a childcare organization or related experience
Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Background working with state and local agencies pertaining to childcare
Must pass state-required criminal background check

Responsibilities:
Support the School Director in interviewing, hiring and terminating employees
Provide supervisory assistance when needed or in the absence of the School Director
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly documents regarding compliance and corporate reporting
Assist in the management of the P&L reports as well as accounts receivables and payables
Implement curriculum along with activities, special events and field trips to enhance learning and development of children
Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with parents and children
Follow and maintain state requirements regarding training for all staff, annually and upon hire
Meet and maintain compliance with all state licensing and training requirements
Prioritize and coordinate staff work assignments as needed
Maintain flexibility regarding the business demands of the school, including working in classroom and other areas of the school when needed
