This position is located at our home office in Plano (Bush/Independence).
Position Summary: The Applications Team Lead reports to the Director of IT and will be responsible for leading the design and development activities for the Company's existing and future software applications.
The candidate will be expected to be hands-on in development, documentation of design, unit testing and support.
This position requires strong technical and analytical skills and involves production and user support.
The ideal candidate will also have a user-friendly attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to understand how the applications are used by the business to drive value.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
2+ years' experience leading a team to deliver complete solutions.
5+ years' experience of full-stack development on client-facing, web-based applications using C#, .
Net 5+ years’ experience with SQL Server and related applications such as SSMS, SSRS, SSIS Highly proficient in web application development using C#, ASP.
NET, .
Net Core, MVC, JQuery, JavaScript, Angular and HTML Highly proficient in RESTful API development with XML/JSON and knowledge of API security frameworks including token management, OAuth, etc.
Proficient with relational and transactional databases and experience writing/analyzing SQL queries including stored procedures, triggers, etc.
Experience working in both traditional Waterfall and Agile development environments.
Experience with GitHub.
CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Strong time management, project management, organizational and team collaboration skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience with UiPath or similar RPA technologies highly preferred Working knowledge of SharePoint, NextGen, CPR+, CareTend and/or Salesforce desired but not required Experience working within the Healthcare industry desired but not required.
Major Responsibilities: Act as primary liaison for on-shore and off-shore development teams and ensure the team is working on the highest value work in a coordinated and efficient manner.
Coordinate all phases of the System Development Life Cycle activities of the team.
Coordinate with business unit representatives to define and evaluate business technology needs and project feasibility.
Assist manager in estimating development time and effort.
Participate in design discussions as a development lead and play a key role in driving design decisions.
Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements for development.
Architect, implement and maintain new and existing software solutions across multiple platforms.
Work with end users, QA and development team to perform unit, functional and integration testing, and validation prior to production implementation to ensure solutions delivered are of highest quality.
Document solution design, technical and implementation specifications for all projects.
Communicate status of assignments and deliverables to project team and stakeholders.
Ensure tasks are completed successfully and on schedule taking guidance from manager as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, providing Tier 2 and 3 application support in a timely manner.
Support the development of coding standards and lead the development team in adhering to best practices and security guidelines.
Mentor and train new recruits/junior developers/application support staff.
Communicate new solutions/Ideas to IT leadership and business stakeholders and continually seek to improve processes and solutions using new tools and solutions.
Performs other tasks or special projects as assigned.
