Portable Miter saw stand.
Craftsman 10" miter saw.
Listing price is for BOTH the saw and the stand.
Willing to sell separately, but prefer a combo sale.
Pics are current as of mid-October for the stand, early-November for the saw.
Saw details follow the stand details.
STAND DETAILS: Collapsible stand.
Wheels for transporting and moving it around in the workshop.
Porter Cable brand.
Comparable (both functionality and features) to the Ridgid and DeWalt portable models that currently sell for around $200 (and don't forget sales tax) at the big box stores.
A Bosch is around $400.
FYI - those prices do not include a saw.
Any brand of miter saw will fit on this stand.
Fully adjustable.
This one is like new and complete, other than some storage dust (no extra charge for the dust ).
This one has had minimal usage.
If you're looking for one, you might consider looking for the following features.
.
.
.
.
End brackets ('T' shaped) with adjustable height to match bed of your saw and the knobs to lock into place (pic 9 & 10) .
.
.
.
End brackets slide out to the sides and those also have knobs to lock in place (when cutting those long pieces) .
.
.
.
Wheels for true portability (some of them don't).
The ones without wheels are still portable, but certainly not as easy.
.
.
.
.
Universal mounting system, not just a wooden platform.
Then if you buy a different brand saw, no problem .
.
.
.
Easy to raise and lower .
.
.
.
Mounting brackets are included (some used saws, the brackets have gotten lost) .
.
.
.
Mounting bolts are included (like the brackets, these sometimes get lost) .
.
.
.
When in operating position, the wheels are on the ground in the event you need to move it around in your workshop .
.
.
.
Gravity rise stand so you don't have to muscle it open or closed .
.
.
.
Ability to store in an upright position to save your work area floor space (see pics) .
.
.
.
Allen wrench to fit adjustment bolts is securely stored with the platform (no search for one if you have to adjust parts) .
.
.
.
Single lever for raising and lowering .
.
.
.
Power cord storage on the back side of upper frame .
.
.
.
Heavy duty tubing frame, 300 pound capacity Coincidentally, this one for sale in this listing has all the above.
This stand could also be used for other bench-top equipment.
Like a table saw, jointer, planer, sander, etc.
See pic 9 for "T" bar lowered and not extended.
Pic 10 shows bar when raised and also extended.
SAW DETAILS: 10" blade.
Rusty but still sharp, no cutting issues.
Test it out prior to purchase, I've got some scrap lumber.
Dual bevel, not the single bevel typical saw.
Built in angle stop points for several typical cuts.
0, 15, 22.
5, 30, and 45 degrees.
No fumbling to get any of those exact degree cuts you will need for your precision cuts.
This saw had the laser light for cutting guidelines.
BUT - it doesn't work.
Youtube might be able to show how to repair.
Usually, these are an add on at the blade attachment point and are battery operated (this one is).
I just went old school and used the blade itself, lowered (when not revolving) to the wood being cut to determine the actual cut.
Both bevel cuts and angle cut adjustments are available on this saw.
Motor brushes are easily user replaceable.
Include 4 mounting bolts.
Saw dust collection bag.
Retention wood chock shown on left and is switchable to the right side of the saw.
Quick adjust feature.
Back side guides are adjustable.
Allen wrench is included and there's a storage spot for it on the saw.
Pretty handy to have that.
Don't have to chase down the correct allen wrench when making one of those adjustments.
Great than 45 degree angle cuts (like 49 degrees).
Blade easily adjustable.
Securely locks in down position with blade guard in place.
Blade is shown in down position in most of the pictures.
Use this position when not in use to help protect blade from inadvertent damage to teeth on the blade.
Works like it should, no surprises.
No noises.
No blade wobble.
Safety guard in place.
Ergonomic handle and trigger.
Craftsman brand.
Not a Ridgid or a DeWalt, but certainly a good, quality tool.
Table shown not included.
Again, pricing show is for both saw and stand.
Willing to sell separately.
Reason for selling - retiring and downsizing.
Cash only, located in Rockwall.
Text is preferred contact method, but calls and emails are ok too.
