YOU As a Branch Controller, you will be an integral part of the local management team responsible for the successful realization of the branch’s goals and strategy.
You will be responsible for maintaining an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and assure the accuracy of the Plant’s reported financial results.
You will work directly with the home office and local management teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP, work directly with the Internal Audit department to maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) for the branch operations.
You will report directly to the Branch Manager and will directly supervise some branch level accounting staff.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time) Oversee timely and accurate finance and accounting activities while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
This will include month/year-end close accounting activities, financial statement preparation and review, internal/external audit support, KPI creation/monitoring/analysis, expense/cost/capex controls and analysis.
(50%) Lead, motivate and direct employees using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems.
Coach, encourage, and develop employees according to their unique interests and strengths.
Empower employees to take responsibility for their career and performance.
Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and the organization.
(15%) Collaborate closely with branch leadership to understand operational challenges and goals, leveraging financial expertise to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.
Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations to support data-driven decisions and optimize resource allocation.
Provide ah-hoc project support to local and home office management teams as needed to support key initiatives.
(10%) Proactively conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for profitability improvement and process optimization.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline branch processes, identifying opportunities for automation and improvement to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
(10%) Develop budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads and home office, analyzing variances and providing recommendations to achieve financial targets.
(10%) Ensure accounting systems and processes are continually streamlined via process improvement to achieve greater efficiency and accuracy in the level and timeliness of reporting.
(5%) DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes.

Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights.
Experience in conducting financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance measurement.
