Accountant / Bookkeeper
Position Summary
Low Cost Pet Veterinary (LCVS PLLC) a growing regional Veterinary clinic, headquartered in Dallas,
Texas is searching for an accountant / Bookkeeper.
The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in general ledger accounting as well as a range of
accounting experience including but not limited to payroll, payroll reporting, accounts receivable
accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and financial statements.
Additionally, the candidate
should be familiar with cash flow management concepts and treasury management banking software
and procedures.
The position reports to the owners and interacts frequently with executive
management.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 4 years Accounting or bookkeeping, entering all types of accounting data
• 1 year QuickBooks online experience recommended
• Moderate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
• Bilingual helpful but not required.
• An aptitude for learning especially software

Summary of Responsibilities:
• Assist in daily accounting operations and month-end close
• Prepares monthly cash and credit card account reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Assist in weekly Payroll and Quarterly Payroll reporting
• Analyzes weekly cash collections and cash payments for cash flow projection
• Supervises daily recording of distributor sales and accounts receivable
• Prepares journal entries, maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts.
• Inventory reporting and analytics.
• Special finance projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or errors
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.
g.
, Xero) and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies or trends in financial data
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations is preferred
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
