Summary
The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely creation of monthly consolidated financial statements and related analysis, including responsibilities in the month-end close process for preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for compensation and other assigned items.
This position will support our Finance team.
It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office 2-3 days per week.
The ideal candidate will be located in Dallas, TX.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create the monthly consolidated financial statements and other related monthly executive and external reporting packages
Assist in the adoption of new accounting standards and the application of GAAP to business transactions
Prepare the weekly cash flow forecast actuals for bank requirements
Assist the month-end close process including preparation of accrual JE’s and posting of journal entries and preparing certain account reconciliations as assigned and including sensitive compensation transactions, taxes and other items as assigned
Assists in preparation of Annual Report
Assist in the accounting for acquisition, divestitures and other business transactions as they arise
Prepares audit schedules and assists with analysis during the annual audit
Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Degree in accounting, finance and/or business administration from an accredited institution
Preferred 2-4+ years of experience working as an accountant
Experience in a public accounting firm audit department is a plus
Must have strong excel skills
SAP and Hyperion, Smartview experience a plus
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
CPA candidate or CPA preferred, but not required
