) Summary of Duties: Under close supervision, the Treasury Analyst I is responsible for completing an established training period necessary to acquire the knowledge and skill to provide support and analysis in the treasury functions for the City.

Assists in obtaining market information; assists in reviewing and analyzing investment offerings and official statements, including contact with brokers/dealers for quotes; assists in investing City funds as required.
Learns to input investment transactions using portfolio tracking software, reconciling portfolio values with general ledger; obtains updated market values for input for month-end, quarterly and annual portfolio reports using both tracking software and Microsoft Excel.
Learns the proper procedure to maintain the delinquent taxpayer list on the City’s accounts payable address book software program.
Assists with maintaining effective relationship with the credit card processor; learns the best methods and techniques to resolve credit card processing issues and works with city department regarding credit card issues.
Administers the collection and reporting of the City’s Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax program.
Administers the $100 (and under) unclaimed property reporting process including but not limited to: compilation of assets for publication on the City’s website, assisting in the development of the file for annual posting on the City’s website, and the preparation of claims filed with the City.
Assists the Treasurer in a variety of administrative matters such as preparing Requests for Proposals (RFP) for Treasury related services; preparing and monitoring the Treasury Division annual budget; preparing information for a variety of monthly, quarterly, annual, and on-demand reports including the Comprehensive Monthly Financial Report (CMFR), quarterly investment report, and the Finance Director’s report to the City Council.
