SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager works with the Chief Accounting Officer and Controller in preparing the
monthly/quarterly and annual financial statements.
The Accounting Manager will supervise 3 - 5 Sr.
/Staff
Accountants.
The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for areas that may require a higher level of
accounting knowledge or are more information sensitive.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
Review/prepare income statements, balance sheets and cash flows for facilities within area of responsibility
May be responsible for the accounting related to payroll, benefits and long term debt
Review/provide variance explanations related to various financial statement variances such as actual vs.
budget, current month vs.
prior month, etc.
Assist operations personnel with financial reports or questions.
May be responsible for the audit, taxes, cost reports, reviewing internal controls, Dynamics(Great Plains) accounting system or Management Reporter for financial reporting
Oversee any areas of responsibility that the Accounting Manager's staff is responsible for
Review work of their staff such as reconciliations, journal entries, etc
Staff development and assist in the continuous improvement of the department and policies and procedures
Work with the Accounts Payable or Purchasing Departments with any issues that may arise
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications/Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
5-10 years experience
CPA is a plus
Previous multi-location or healthcare accounting a plus
