JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Fraud Strategy Associate within the Fraud Team, you will be part of the team responsible for monitoring and managing fraud risk strategies that protect the firm and our clients from fraudulent transactions conducted through multiple banking channels.
The responsibilities include identifying fraud trends, developing rules to mitigate fraud, & implementing fraud strategies to prevent fraud across digital & branch money movement channels.
This role will involve frequent interaction with cross-functional partners, as well as creating deliverables for senior management.
A successful candidate will have a strong analytic background, project management experience, and strategy experience in our fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Interpret complex data to formulate problem statements and draw conclusions regarding underlying risk dynamics and opportunities
Data analysis, including data collection, synthesis, and translation of results into concrete actionable solutions
Provide implementation support, inclusive of testing and process change management, and ensure those implementations meet requirements established by Oversight and Control partners
Develop long-term strategic initiatives supported by data and generate buy-in from senior leadership for implementation
Implement long-term strategic initiatives by partnering with internally-dependent Risk, Controls, and Technology teams to deliver the identified solution
Work with minimal direction/independently, keeping management informed of progress and escalating issues
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
3 or more years data analytics or fraud experience
Bachelor’s degree
Data mining and analytical skills, with SAS, SQL, Python and/or Alteryx experience
Ability to analyze complex business processes and understand internal-facing and client-facing impacts of strategies
Ability to translate complex data findings into easy-to-understand PowerPoint presentations for internal stakeholders and senior management
Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detail oriented, and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate with various stakeholder groups to elicit business requirements, procedures, and processes
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player who is willing to provide support across multiple fraud-related workstreams
