Sanford Federal, Inc.
is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Medical Consultant to provide comprehensive medical consulting services for our RMA division.
This role is critical in ensuring precise and fair disability determinations.
The consultant will be responsible for examining and analyzing RMC case reviews, conducting independent case reviews, offering medical consulting services, and traveling as required.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Review evidence submitted by practicing physicians, medical specialists, and other consultants.
* Provide independent case reviews and consultations.
* Ensure accurate disability determinations.
* Travel as required for case reviews and consultations.
*Minimum Requirements:*
Licensure: Current license to practice medicine in any state in the USA or the District of Columbia.
Applicants must submit a copy of their medical license.
*Experience:*
* Minimum three years of recent clinical experience in Physical Health or two years of Disability Case Experience.
* At least three years of experience as a Regional Medical Consultant.
*Availability:* Minimum ten hours per week availability for RMC services between 6:00 a.
m.
and 10:00 p.
m.
A statement of availability indicating preferred times and days must be provided.
*Language Proficiency:* Strong proficiency in English with the ability to produce clear, understandable written documents related to medical issues and disability programs.
Evidence of graduation from an accredited medical school in an English-speaking country or five years of clinical experience in an English-speaking country is required.
*Computer Skills:* Basic computer competencies are required.
A completed Computer Skills Assessment Survey demonstrating proficiency in essential computer skills will be required.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Graduation from an accredited medical school in an English-speaking country or five years of clinical experience in an English-speaking country.
* Prior experience in disability program evaluations and consultations.
